Best UK Winter Walks

Dry January and Veganuary are finally coming to an end and what better way to celebrate than to head out into the fresh air for a UK Winter walk. We have selected some of the best for you to try out this Winter. So, dust off your walking boots and get out there.

Starting with one for the beginners this Norfolk walk is our easiest option but does not compromise on views. This is a 6.3 mile loop around the village of Horsey, the North sea and wild-life rich marshland. We recommend this walk for Winter as, if you’re lucky, you will be able to catch sight of grey seals as hundreds of them come to the coast for breeding in Winter. A sight not to be missed.

The peak district is known for its spectacular views on numerous walking routes. For our second walking suggestion we’re going to Bakewell. Known for their delicious Bakewell tarts you can treat yourself to one whilst embarking on this 4 hour walk. Passing sights like a ruined corn mill, and Iron Age Fort and of course the impressive Chatsworth House there will always be great views to behold. In the Winter you will have frosty fields to yourself and the chance to see deer roaming the countryside.

For our final Winter walking recommendation, we’re going to Ystradfellte in Wales for their waterfall walk. During this walk you will encounter four waterfalls that are sure to brighten any Winter Day. There can be steep areas around the waterfalls so be sure to bring proper walking boots but worth it for the breath-taking waterfalls.

We hope these walks brighten the cold days and encourage you to get out in the fresh air this Winter and enjoy the beautiful views that the UK has to offer.
