Paris Fashion Week Men’s: Billionaire Boys Club

Day two of Paris Fashion Week saw us ditch the runway. Instead we headed for the showrooms, with Billionaire Boys Club first on the agenda.

Billionaire Boys Club Paris 2020

Moments from the Louvre, the BBC showroom sat in the basement of a chic boutique hotel. The space was typical of the brand, fusing a clear love of hip hop culture with a minimal Japanese aesthetic.

The AW 2020 collection lined the walls. Immediately is demonstrated a bold use of colour as well as a heavy mix of technically focused sportswear. There were fleeces and nylons as well as classic hip hop silhouettes, including varsity style jackets and chunky checked shirts. The buyers made their selections and that was that. The AW20 selection was made, ready to hit the shelves next winter.

Our time with Billionaire Boys Club didn’t end there though. As night fell we made our way over to the legendary Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette where in a private space tucked away in the back of the store the brand was holding an exclusive event.

Sticking to their hip hop roots the DJ reeled off a selection of classics before the lights dimmed and the evening’s special guest arrived. Up and coming Compton rapper Buddy graced the stage showing us all why his stars are rising so quickly. 2020 is going to be a big year for him. Playing a number of tracks from his collaborative project with Kaytranada as well as solo hits such as ‘Trouble on Central’ the LA native made a real impression on the invitation only crowd, topping off a brilliant night.
