Graduate Fashion Week: Day 1

Graduate Fashion Week: Day 1

Arriving at London’s Old Truman Brewery for 10am sharp, the Tessuti team used the first day of Graduate Fashion Week to meet our twelve incredible shortlisted nominees for the Sports & Leisurewear Award, as well as checking out some of the country’s best upcoming design talents. Experience a taste of what we got up to below during Day 1:

Presented at the Gala Awards Show, the Tessuti Sports & Leisurewear award was shortlisted by Tessuti Menswear Buyer Ghulam Khadki and Head of Recruitment at adidas, Claire Piedpoint prior to the event start. Each nominee was put forward by their individual course leaders, ensuring there was an exceptionally high standard of entries to choose from.

Visiting each University stand one-by-one, our two judges had the unenviable task of cutting the twelve shortlisted candidates down to just five ahead of Wednesday’s award show, interviewing each student at the stand about their inspiration, collections and vision for the range.

The students were judged on their technical skills, innovation and imagination – with a fantastic array of sports and leisurewear on display as a result.

After a painstaking deliberation process, our judges delivered their verdict to the Graduate Fashion Week team. Congratulations to our finalists and well done to everyone who took part.
