London Fashion Week: AW19 Trends

London Fashion Week has come to an end for another season and we’re here to let you know three of the hottest trends that you need to get involved with.

From all over balloon to tiger, designers were not shy this season when it came to prints. Christopher Kane paired mature silhouettes in delicate fabrics such as lace with colourful childlike prints to create pieces that truly stood out. The key to this trend it to not do things by halves.

Embrace the all-over print in a variety of colours and you’ll be sure to nail the trend. Why not try the Love Moschino Campus Print Dress or for something a bit more casual, the Polo Ralph Lauren print sweatshirt is a perfect match. Make 2019 the year to take a fashion risk.

On the flipside, colour-blocking was also seen walking down the runway. If the idea of an all over print terrifies you then this could be the trend that you can experiment with for AW19. Shown by the likes of Emilia Wickstead and Roksanda Ilincic, this is a bold yet sophisticated look that is completely versatile. Wickstead did the trend in muted mustard yellow separates whilst Ilincic had bright dresses in all over colour. You can tailor it to your style.

For a bold red look, pair the Love Moschino glitter heart dress with the Polo Ralph Lauren trucker denim jacket. Or for something a bit more neutral, the BOSS tracksuit is worth a try.

There’s something about an ultra-feminine look that makes you feel special. This AW19, it’s all about feeling feminine in an empowered way. Simone Rocha sent models down the runway with delicate lace dresses in pink tones but paired that with chunky black boots or underwear peeking through to give an edge to the girlish feel of her collection.

The Marc Jacobs polka dot shoulder bag in pink perfectly encompasses this trend with the girly polka dots against the thick black strap to give your outfit that cool, yet flirty vibe that can be tricky to get right.
