London Fashion Week Men’s Street Style

London Fashion Week Men’s is over for another season and as well as the runway shows from the designers, the streets became a runway for the fashion insiders attending. We take a look back at some trends we saw on the streets of LFWM.

Tailored pieces were styled with chunky shoes to give a modern take on smart casual dressing. Most shoes were stand out pieces of an outfit, with minimal, tailored clothing to let the shoes do the talking. Running from show to show, comfortable shoes are needed so there was an array of trainers seen over the weekend in a variety of different styles and colours.

Neon made an appearance this season as people seemed to embrace colour. This was usually through one stand out item that made an outfit pop. The rest of the outfit would be paired back with patterns in subdued colours to let the neon take star of the show.

Layering was a key trend, probably due to the wintery weather conditions. A blessing in disguise, this enabled people to build outfits with different textures and styles to create eclectic looks that were each unique to the wearer. One of the stand out results from this layering trend was sportswear mixed with tailored pieces. Hoodies and sporty high neck tops were layered under long tailored coats to give a dramatic look that embraced the trend which was seen all over the runways during London Fashion Week Men’s. This mix of sportswear and tailored pieces is definitely a trend to tap into right now.
