Lost In Tokyo: Behind The Scenes

Our Spring campaign ‘Lost In Tokyo’ took us across the world to Japan. This served as the backdrop for our new season designer arrivals. It was a busy week of exploring the city and discovering all the vibrant environment had to offer. We’re here to give you a sneak peak of what went on behind the scenes.

Day one in Tokyo took us to a rooftop location where concrete buildings stretched as far as the eye could see. Shooting footwear and accessories from the likes of Mallet, Android Homme and Unlike Humans, the sun set on the cityscape to reveal twinkling lights from the bustling city below.

For day two we were joined by the larger than life personalities of Example and Erin for a busy day of shooting Billionaire Boys Club sweatshirts, t-shirt dresses and other layering pieces for Spring. As the sun set, we headed into Shinjuku where the bright lights and intimate bars down Memory Lane attracted a crowd of people eager to see what was going on and talk to the models.

In contrast to this, day three started off in the serene settings of Kyu Yasuda Gardens where crisp blue skies and strong sunshine created pockets of light and shadow amongst the tranquil garden. After taking some individual and group shots of the four models, we then headed to Nezu Shrine where the sun shone on looks from Tommy Hilfiger, Versace Jeans Couture and Mallet. By night the neon lights from the lively city matched the neon lights coming from the impressive super car that served as a prop to shoot the likes of C.P. Company tracksuits, lightweight jackets and so much more.

The jam packed week of shooting ended with an hour long drive out of Tokyo to the picturesque landscape of Mount Fuji. A blanket of snow covered the ground that met the crisp lake below the vast mountain. With the sun shining, this was the perfect setting to showcase lightweight jackets from Parajumpers and Pyrenex to take you into the new season in style.
