Paris Digital Fashion Week Fall 2021

Paris Digital Fashion Week Fall 2021

Another day, another fashion week. We’ve already taken you from New York to London. Now let us take you to the beautiful city of Paris with Paris Digital Fashion Week Fall 2021. Starting on March 1st and ending on March 10th, there are still a few days left of the online fashion shows, however we’re here to give you the highlights so far.

Paul Smith brings 70s inspired pieces

To start things off, let’s take a look at what Paul Smith brought to the table. One of the many designers we stock here at Tessuti. This week he showcased his latest womenswear collection, featuring classic autumnal colours that everyone knows and loves, alongside styles that many are also familiar with. Taking inspiration from past decades, the collection makes nods towards 70s fashion which Smith has previously stated he wouldn’t do as he has already done this in that era. However, despite the old fashioned inspiration, he has managed to bring his own modern twist and create some classical pieces and bold silhouettes. Some pieces even came with a more masculine edge and begins to blur the lines between gendered clothing.

A New designer for Chloé

Chloé has seen many designers take on collections for the brand, from Stella McCartney to Karl Lagerfeld. This year, Gabriela Hearst brought her debut collection for the brand that, much like Paul Smith’s collection, gave further nods to past times whilst still bringing a modernity to the collection. Alongside this modern edge came sustainable fabrics and raw materials which bring the collection to another level. What makes this years show extra special is that it fell on the very date of the original founders birth date. 100 years ago, Gaby Aghion was born who would come to found the iconic brand.

Still to come

Other shows we look forward to seeing at Paris Digital Fashion Week Fall 2021 include Vivienne Westwood who often brings her unique British Punk-edge to the shows, and Louis Vuitton who will be rounding off the shows on March 10th.

It’s also worth keeping an eye out to see what Kenzo produce. Whilst they chose not to participate in the formal digital event this year, they will have a film on the way on March 26th and we can’t wait to find out what it involves.
