Six Steps To Homemade Burgers

Six Steps To Homemade Burgers

The almost tropical British weather undoubtedly calls for firing up the grill to create bbq burgers and in honour of that we are cooking up homemade burgers with better than big mac sauce courtesy of the Tessuti Six at Six.

Better Than Big Mac Sauce

300g Mayonnaise

1TBS Gherkin relish

2TSP Mustard

2TSP Apple cider vinegar

1TSP BBQ sauce

1TSP Garlic powder

1TSP Onion powder

½ TSP Paprika

¼ TSP Salt

500g 20% Fat beef mince

½ TBS Garlic granules

½ TBS Onion granules

½ TBS Ground black pepper

1TSP Salt

1TBS French mustard

1TBS Tabasco

1 Gem lettuce in half

4 Slices of square burger cheese

2 Burger buns

Step one

Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl until well combined and leave in the fridge for an hour.

Step two

Mix the mince, garlic and onion granules, salt and pepper in a bowl. Then split into 4 equal portions and roll into balls.

Step three

Gently flatten the mince mixture into circles about as thick as your fingers.

Step four

Mix the french mustard and tabasco together. Put the burger patties on the grill and cook to your liking, brushing with the mustard and tabasco mix every so often. For the last minute, top each patty with cheese.

Step five

Whilst grilling the burgers, also grill the gem lettuce brushing with plenty of butter from time to time.

Step six

The final step and our favourite, it’s time to build your burger. Grab the buns, and sauce you put in the fridge earlier. Build your burger with the bun, lettuce x2 burgers with cheese and lots of sauce for extra flavour.
